I'm probably not going to sound so smart as I don't know all of the information or terminology, but here's the jist... I'm in 776, feeder driver hired last June. Right before peak began, grievances were aired and filed that a couple of drivers were hired in at peak rate but they hit full time before peak started. Evidently this happened at other places in the country but I don't know how many. It is going to the national board, if that's the correct term, that convenes here shortly. 776 is apparently deferring representing the case to another local somewhere else in the country as they are considered having more knowledge of presenting a grievance of this nature. I'm just wondering if anyone on here has heard anything similar? I have yet to see anyone mention it anywhere outside of what I hear in Harrisburg or Carlisle. The stewards and BA's say it's definitely a real thing that's proceeding, that it's a valid grievance with a strong case, but they also think that it will go the company's way. Anyway, not really wondering about likely outcomes, just more curious if anyone has heard the same that is in a different local. Thanks in advance, sorry for the long post.
