After a year of failure, the Milwaukee Metro experiment of shared drop box duty ends on 9/30/2013. Having been to roughly 50 of these ground empty bastards for a year now, I have an early Thanksgiving.

Good idea in theory, but you are correct. I was surprised a few times by a stack of boxes unexpected in a mailroom. But if I picked up 100 packages all year, that would be generous. My daily is 15 boxes, and I covered 4 routes with about the same.
