A Thanksgiving Day Prayer

Lord, so often times, as any other day
When we sit down to our meal and pray

We hurry along and make fast the blessing
Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing

We're slaves to the olfactory overload
We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold

But Lord, I'd like to take a few minute more
To really give thanks to what I'm thankful for

For my family, my health, a nice soft bed
My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head

I'm thankful right now to be surrounded by those
Whose lives touch me more than they'll ever possibly know

Thankful Lord, that You've blessed me beyond measure
Thankful that in my heart lives life's greatest treasure

That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place
And I'm ever so grateful for Your unending grace

So please, heavenly Father, bless this food You've provided
And bless each and every person invited

Cove, pretend for a minute you are Bob Kraft and Bill Belichik. Do you keep both Brady and Cassel or do you let Cassel go? Letting Brady go may start a riot. Cassel is certainly putting up some numbers in his "free-agent" season and will likely get big money somewhere else.

What about Varitek? He is looking for a one year deal but I haven't heard the amount. He does a very good job behind the plate but is a liability at the plate.

I would like to thank you for this wonderful prayer.
Too many people rush thur life and never take the time to be thankful for those around them. After the loss of my mother this past summer the holidays are going to hard. She was the glue that held my family together and my best friend.
To everyone on BC happy Thanksgiving and please take a moment to tell those close to you how much you appreciate them because you never know when time is going to be cut short.
