Yes standards were set and kept. Go to PCM and look around.
Any one not clean cut. Wouldn’t be there

When I hired on in New York City (2017), they sent us to Maspeth Center in Queens New York. Never saw integrad. It was like Boot Camp. Writing out the depth of knowledge every morning, check rides.

I almost failed my first one because daylight sort was on break, leaving the center with the instructor one on one he said I didn’t make ENOUGH iContact with the pedestrians that had already long since crossed the walking path lol. Other than that clean shaven, which I don’t believe is enforced anymore? I’ve been on the railroad for years now

Follow instructions. That helped me. They do believe they are the 6th branch of the military so…
