Is UPS collecting donations and materials and shipping them to Haiti? A woman walked up to me and asked if UPS had an area for drop off's that they would ship to Haiti for free? Is this true?

UPS has pledged $1M in aid, half in cash with the other half in support. According to ups.com service to Haiti has been suspended due to the earthquake.

Nothing to do with browncafe, the fault lies with the bottleneck that the aid has to go through.

I saw somewhere the internet rumor of free shipping to Haiti being mentioned as false. Thats probably where your customer heard this.

Nothing to do with browncafe, the fault lies with the bottleneck that the aid has to go through.

that is the problem. The entire infrastructure has been destroyed and has to be restored. Not that it was much of an infrastructure in the first place.
