I know you don't like looking too far out, but what are your thoughts for the winter in my area?

Sounds like the weather forecast given by The Old Farmers Almanac :-)
Sleeve has posted a lot of weather information in the past, so I was curious what he thought.

A quick check of weather.com shows that they are watching it but that it is most likely to stay far enough off the coast to have a minimal impact.

I am flying in to Logan Friday evening and I hope it stays out to sea. :)

Not a lot of skill, mixed signals this winter. I would say a winter like 70-71 or 76-77 seems reasonable, neither particularly snowy or cold, but typical.

Not "a lock" by any stretch, but there may be a coastal storm close-by. At least three or four gfs ensemble members also have a significant storm. Perhaps something to watch...

Looks like it may possibly affect us Wednesday, not Thanksgiving.
That's actually worse since it's the busiest travel day.

Sorry I meant "Thanksgiving Evening" as Thanksgiving Eve, the evening before Thanksgiving. Though the timing could get tricky with multiple pieces of energy to watch in coming days

new 12z American model, the operational GFS, trended west (was offshore) and is on-board with at least a light-moderate storm. However any storm is currently modeled later into Wednesday night and Thanksgiving morning.
