Holiday rush begins for UPS system - Business First
Aside from the North Pole, one of the busiest places on Earth over the next few days will be United Parcel Service Inc.’s Worldport air cargo shipping hub at Louisville International Airport.
Wednesday, Dec. 23 is anticipated to be the busiest day of the year for all UPS air express packages, with an expected volume of more than 6 million packages.
Jackie Blair, communications manager for UPS Airlines, said more than 1 million of those packages will be routed through Worldport. As a result, Tuesday, Dec. 22 will be the busiest sorting day at the hub.
