I'm married yes. No kids yet but my wife and I feel it's best to raise kids on Long Island away from the small spaces and chaotic nature of the city. And $350k is far from a mansion in New York

choose a good school district for the big picture - I bought a rundown old farm house 30 years ago in a great school district- it was a battle to fix but never lost the equity because of the school district

Around here it'll get me a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom and maybe a small yard and a view of the street. Cost of living in NY is brutal
