I love bonus. I can be sitting at home drinking a cold beer and know I'm still getting paid.

I take my lunch unless I have a something to do with my kids like a choir concert or a basketball game.

I don't like bonus. Want to make some enemies quick, start talking about eliminating it. Guys would knife ya if they'd get away with it.

We have a couple guys who make 2hrs or more everyday. One guy we call 6 digits. And for the drinking beer at home etc, etc, etc,. We all work for the same company. Why should one get paid for drinking beer at home, and another is in the center manager's office for being an hr. over. I threw that by a center manager before. I said why you picking on a guy who is a 1hr over. Lets pull these chumps who are 2 hrs under in. There twice as bad as this over guy. I got a deer in headlights look. Aren't we suppose to be as close to even as possible? Why should I have to work 10hrs to be paid for 10 yet bonus babies only have to work 8? Bottom line, bonus just isn't fair.

The company will soon do away with it in order to save $$$$$$$$$$ and you better have some ear plugs on that day, cause the babies will be crying:sad-very: And of course, the company will demand these babies still work at the same pace and threaten to fire them if they slow down.

HOW???????

Let's see at $29.155 an hour for straight time that is $1166.20 per week.

For 52 weeks that is $ 60642.24 for a year.

If a driver really made over $100,000 he would have to make over
$39357.76 in overtime and bonus at $ 43.732 an hour.

That means he would have to average over 17.31 hours of overtime and bonus a week. Roughly 11.46 dispatch on average every day.

This doesn't include vacation days, optional days or holidays which would mean the dispatch would have to be higher to compensate for these 8 hr paid days.

It doesn't happen where I am at , but hey it is his story and he can tell it how he wants.

Bonus is OK if its earned the right way and not by acting like an idiot by skipping lunch and running. If it weren't for bonus we'd have a couple more routes and that means more full-time jobs for those part-timers that have been waiting for so long. Bonus is nothing more than a cash bribe for idiots to run through their lunches and short change their customers.

In one 34 years and all the positive has been taken away over time....It has become like rest of ups all numbers managed by someone in an office with very little contact with reality,,, still love my job but the time around the center is trying...

I am, just wondering if ya like the bonus center idea. Many people in my center, myself included, like the bonus plan. Personally, I will make close $90,000 this year, and no I do not kill myself doing it. I like being home by 5 and getting paid like I worked 'til 7:30!
Have you ever left an indirect yellow? Have you ever left a yellow? Have you ever taken an hour lunch during the fourth and fifth hour? Have you ever served in a forward area?

Other than the meal time, I have no idea what you are asking. WTH is a "yellow"?

Our center is a bonus center also, if I can work 7 and get paid for 8 and on top of that get 1-2 a day bonus good for me, I do not want to live my life working the late hours and not see my family, and my kids not growing. I also like to be home to do things if I want.

Every person who hates the bonus, uses the same excuses, I'm not killing myself, I"m not short change customers, I'm not running, I'm not skipping lunch,....the key words here are "I'm not". Whatever. I know what I make, I know my pace, and I know that when I'm home with my family getting paid, some lazy ass is still out there talking about what he/she is not going to do. I'm in my prime earning years, and I'm going to earn as much $$$ as possible. And I waited 8 years to get my job, I shouldn't have to take a pay cut to make someone else a full time job if it's not already there. Or is socialism really the best way? I think not.

Quick math: I've averaged 50 hours a week all year. 83636
As routes were cut that went up to 55 and as of the last 3 weeks, I've been pushing 60 paid hours. You figure it out, I have no reason to lie.

We are a bonus center...Since PAS stole at least an hour from every route, maybe 4 to 6 routes scratch...Of those 4 to 6, I'd say most lunch is skipped and loads are shaped up before leaving building...In essence, probably 1 route could scratch if full mealtime was taken....Back in the 80's and 90's , I had routes that scratched by 30 min to 90 min...

Like I said I hate it, what it does some drivers. :sad-little: For the future please write a little more respectfully about some of your "slacker" co-workers. Everybody has different pace not everybody at his/her "prime" years, get over with it.

Maybe your route will be the next one cut.

So they really dispatch routes with 12 hour days at your center?

You have no reason to lie , and I have no reason to believe you.
