I quit going to parades when the ratio of politicians to floats exploded. The last parade I attended some Einstein parade organizer had put the local mounted police auxiliary patrol (about 20 horses in all) just ahead of the high school marching band. That was one of the funniest things I ever saw---watching those kids sidestep all the road apples.
