Brain surgery is tough, my brother-in-law had a grapefruit size tumor removed 25years ago. It disabled him. It came back and he had to have it removed again a couple of weeks ago. They got most of it, its non-cancerous. Its been hard around my house, my wife and her mother take turns caring for him 24 hours a day. It has really been a true blessing to me the way some of my unknown fellow co-workers have stepped up and tried to help you and your grandson. I wish Mathew the best, keep the faith.
