Notice the ice forming on my windshield wiper. We don't get as much snow as other parts of the country (mainly up north) but what we get melts and freezes. Or we get rain/sleet, then snow on top of it, then a quick freeze. Sometimes we just don't know what's under the snow. And then there's black ice too.
The driveway (I struggle to call it that) had been covered in snow over night but melted, drained down hill to the bottom where the lovely trailer I had just delivered to was, and turned the rest of the dirt and pulverized "gravel" into half frozen goo. There was nowhere to turn around. You can barely make out the truck in the top of the picture. I was halfway back to it when I took the picture. I was cussing the driver that ECed that stop the day before the entire walk back.
