We were told yest our HR rep would be in 30 min b4 start time today. We were also told no meeting was planned but if anyone wanted to come in early with questions they could. No instructions were given whether to punch in our not. I assume since they explained no meeting was planned this was to be on our time. Are you kidding me! They can't even plan a meeting with the employees with all the changes in health coverage upcoming not to mention all the morale issues at our station. Even this is pathetic for fedex I'm sure if had a meeting it would have been all PSP propaganda maybe our rep can't even sell that crap to us so he just made an appearance to please his boss.

Amazing. This company is beyond belief in their cheapness.

You can imagine how overwhelmed an HR rep can be when they show up at your station. I think they are reporting to upper management to see what the local beef is within your station. They are probably using that as an SFA tool. There aren't many success stories in our station dealing with HR.

No way would I even acknowledge a HR rep without being on the clock. If they're gonna spew the BS at least I wanna get paid for it.

HR is usually at my station only if a head is about to roll or some new and incredibly stupid plan is about to be rolled-out...like our new Healthcare Plan.

Pretty much the same can be said for our safety specialist.

Same at our station. Most of the time when we call about any problem we get one of those "it sucks to be you" type of reply.

Well, at least they aren't lying to you. If you are an Express courier, it does suck to be you.

Everyone is out for themselves....This seems to be the new trend. Fedex is no longer the company so many of us loved.

I have to give it to our safety specialist. We had an ongoing serious safety issue that management kept ignoring even though I mentioned it to a few managers. I told Safety Man about it when he was in our station one day, plus mentioned that I would call a lawyer if I got hurt as a result of their negligence. Surprise! Surprise! When I came off the road that day, problem fixed. Imagine that! Sorry to say that though, because it was band-aid fixed, the same problem has reoccurred. Sighhhhhh.

A call to osha would get that fixed.

Sub-human and yet you call me "inhumane" and "unethical".

Yes, because your "job" treats them as sub-humans unworthy of benefits or a decent rate of pay. Meanwhile, you do quite well, and Fred does really well. The way you and your Uncle Fred treat your non-employees makes them de facto sub-humans.

Yeah, Fred is BBsam's big idol apparently since he seems to really enjoy all the hardships we've put up with while it was the hard work Express employees that made it possible for his beloved Ground to even exist. Then when it comes to a decent wage for his drivers, well that just gets laughingly dismissed. Yeah, just like how Fred would react.

None of my drivers are as bitchy as the rabble here so I kinda disagree.
Disagree all you want. You only know what they're saying about you to your face. Anything else they say, you're not within an earshot.

And I really don't care. They know where the door is if they don't want to be here anymore. Once they reclaim their humanity, maybe they will bolt.
