I hate my job club ! Ups package car

BC is the only place in the world you can come and vent, and everyone understands exactly what you mean.

Well, here and that porn addicts site I first met you on. Boy the stories we tell there. Except for that annoying Canadian who tells us how much hotter their porn stars are.

Yep, they gave me a light day today. Since I have 30 pickups I guess they figured they'd take it easy on me...

This job sucks, there is no "peak" anymore... EVERYDAY is peak. Drivers punching out at 10pm or later all year long. Absolute nonsense, complain to the company and all you get is the standard "Kool Aid" answer: "You know, you make the most money in the industry..."

Complain to the Union, "Hey, at least you have a job..."

What a joke.

That was really nice of them, looks like you are only about 80% dispatched. Plenty of room left in there!

:laughing:My old Center Manager asked me if I regretted going into Feeders.

Everyone I know in delivery hates their job. Few in feeders do. I don't really like the nights, but it's well worth it.

I can count on one hand how many Feeder drivers I know who hate their job. I actually like the nights and this is really hard to admit but I actually like 85% of my management team in Feeders.

Lol, I know what you mean. I'd have to raise that to 100% here.

newbee here also. i like your post LOL. i find it funny because i feel the same away. im a ups mechanic and it seems this peak has absolutely crazy man. ups has this saying that we all are familiar with during peak and that is "NO BROWN DOWN". Over the years i have grown to hate those words because it is impossible to have all ups fleet running without breaking the dot law. i have seen managment let vehicles go that had dot issues. then when one gets in an accident like the other day they look at the mechanics like we are the one at fault. i feel this peak has stressed every mechanic to the limits with this no brown down crap. i mean come on i am an experienced mechnanic and the old GMC days are gone. with these new vehicles u cant just pull and engine and have it running that night like u did we use to do with the GMC'S. The other day managment told me that if i had to stay 15 hours over to get a truck fixed that i had no idea what was wrong with. i told managment at 700 am im going home because i feel that it is unsafe for me to work any longer(man i already put in over 13 hours and they want me to work more?). well anyways at 700 i went home like i said. however when i returned to work the next day i was harassed big time by management and continue to be. Im have grown so weary of all the crap that ups puts me through on a day to day basis that im really considering leaving ups. man i have never been written up so many times like i have with ups. all the other jobs that i worked prior to ups i have never had a written documentation until i came to ups. yeah the money is good but everyday i go to work my stomache turns and i say to myself " I HATE THIS JOB" i repeat this through out the night constantly reciting it like it is a song. i feel the money is not worth it anymore nor is my time here at ups. when i started this job i had high expectations for this job. i would work my butt of trying to do everything right. after while after i got written up a couple of times i began to see things differently. i still work hard but its not the same like it use to be. any how i love the post man. its funny and im glad i found someone who feels the same. I HATE THIS JOB

I feel for you brother I am a 28 year driver well 22 years driving and 6 were part time (with 35 hrs a week). I hate the drive into work every morning and it seems to all of started when EDD arrived . Then they took 30seconds a package away for our allowed time due to not having to sheet packages .. Then some brainiac created Orion (and what a joke that is ) Orion came in telling me to do my route this way which then I was paid over by 1hour delivering both side of busy street almost getting killed). I am a scratch driver. So basically Orion is my way again. I was looking forward to retirement. But now that’s off the table with the cuts. Ugggghhhhhhhhh

There is slot of space in there. I would actually be happy with that. My loader crams s* in floor to ceiling almost every day. Half the time can't even fit it all in.

If an 18% pension cut is forcing you to delay retirement you have far bigger financial issues.

I am facing the same cuts and my only change will be switching from imported to domestic caviar.

Hey did your retirees get a chance to vote on the cuts or was it only active employees?
