If anything this tells you they are not on the same page as the Ups employee !

Local Leaders Unanimously Endorse UPS Agreement
"While other unions are struggling against employers, this tentative agreement with UPS addresses our members' concerns and is an example of how the Teamsters are moving forward faster and stronger than ever," says General President Jim Hoffa

This is from www.teamsters.org so there is no disputing this statement !

My understanding of this statement is that they were told what to say or else look for another job !

This is what we have been saying for a long time is that they have there own agenda as to looking out for their clients.

The UPS/IBT Plan will recognize full-time service in the CS Plan for determining eligibility for the
benefits in this section and will offset at Normal Retirement Age the benefits accrued from the CS
Plan commencing at Normal Retirement Age. If the benefit paid from the CS Plan is reduced as
permitted or required by law, the amount of such reduction shall not be included in this offset. (www.teamster.org)

Now this alone tells you that ups is not writing your check for retirement till you have time in with them under there plan - Central States can and will probably underperform again in the future without UPS putting any funds in anymore. History will be repeating itself right here folks !
