I am sure that more than a handful of people would agree that the topic started out as liberalism on campus. On the other handful, as the thread unraveled it did drift off topic. Or was that second sentence not about the first sentence? OK then, I agree that more than a handful of people agree that liberalism is rampant on campus. I am part of that handful. (Hey, guess which finger I ended up on!) You are welcome to go back and find that I wrote something about it on 3/21 - about how the very situation you describe is the result of students making free market decisions.I do like a good argument - one that is civil, well-reasoned and doesn't degenerate into name calling. So, denial it is.I prefer to perform my own internet research, so I can look at a variety of positions. [There's a good sentence to take out of context!] From the trailer, I can't tell if the movie is going to suggest any sort of solution to the problem it posits. IF college campuses have a culture that makes it difficult to hold a conservative point of view, what should be done? Do we need to require some conservatives to teach or to require that existing teachers espouse conservatism? Do we need to make it easier for students who hold conservative points of view? Wait a minute.... Countering the free-market decisions that have already been made by the majority of students, restraining the speech that is allowed and coddling those with views that are out-of-favor? Once somebody sees this movie, can you report back any solutions that are actually proposed? I'm sure they can't be as bad as any of the ideas I have deduced. Everyone have a good weekend. I plan to!
