You are right, we do need another FDR. However, the repubs are all running as Herbert Hoovers.

klein, nobody really wants to attack Iran.
Because then they would be financially responsible to rebuild it .
Given that a majority of Iran's youth is hook on heroin and unemployment runs over 20%, it is best to just contain Iran's global ideas to within its own borders.

Killing innocent civilians, as this scientist was, is an act of terrorism. Once again US imperialism raises its ugly head . Whether bombing from 20,000 feet or car bombs, it is the same rotten policy. Whether Reagan, Bush , CLinton or Obama, the policies never change.

This is an outrage! Why wasn’t Obama invited?

(Haaretz) — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Cuba Wednesday for a brief visit that is the third stop in his Latin American tour.

Ahmadinejad was to meet with Cuban President Raul Castro later Wednesday, after lecturing at the University of Havana. Cuban diplomatic sources in Havana said that Ahmadinejad also has plans to meet with historic Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

As he arrived in the communist island in the Caribbeann, Ahmadinejad lifted two fingers in a sign of victory. He was coming in from Nicaragua, where he attended Daniel Ortega’s inauguration for a further presidential term late Tuesday.

U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said in a statement Wednesday that “Iran and Cuba are both state-sponsors of terrorism, and need to be treated as immediate threats to our national security.”
According to the statement, “just as the Iranian regime has rejected every overture by the Administration, the Castro regime will never be coddled into changing its ways.

Cuban terrorists ? Wow, Moreluck seems to come out with the newest news !
Cuba relies heavily on Canada, South American and Europe for trade now.
Not only that, but also one of the largest tourist distinations from those countries.

No way would Cuba ever jeopardize all that, to make threats against the USA and therefor the western nations.
That's all they have left to survive on now, since the old USSR ain't giving any more money.

This was taken just before they headed upstairs to the Honeymoon Suite. What a cute couple.

Even though this is a few months old, good for Cenk in calling out this spin up non-sense. Interesting comments about Obama too.
