What exactly are the grievances? Panels are once a month. The company can postpone once which can push it out another month. Once it gets to panel it may not get heard because terminations and suspensions have priority also any grievance before the panel that has a grievant present also gets priority. With covid Western panels are WAY behind and people that were terminated back in November are just now having their grievances heard. My point is if it's just a mistake in wages and every week your penalty goes up the union sees it as not as important as someone not being paid at all. Also just to put into perspective.. panels covers AZ UT CA NV NM and I'm sure I'm missing a couple states. So hopefully you can understand how they get backed up so easily when covid shut it down until they worked it out with the company to use Zoom and work the bugs out of that as well. Say patient and take comfort in the fact that when you do get your money it will be 4 or 5 times what you were actually owed because of the compounding penalty pay.
