Is porn OK?

I would think that since no one else is allowed on the pkg car that it would be OK for a driver to have porn. I would think it would be like a public campground or picnic area---"Bring it in, carry it out"---in other words, don't leave it on the pkg car. If I were a driver covering one of those areas the porn would be tossed in to the nearest trash can.

So you promote on the job masturbation?

They sell pipes for smoking leafy substances (ie. tobacco). The exposure you are getting from that smoke wasn't the reason for the law in New York. It was for protection of the employees.

In regards to 'drug paraphernalia' reference, so just because the govt says that marijuana is bad for you...you believe them? Other states have stopped enforcing laws against possession and some are even taxing it? Good luck finding someone stoned out from smoking weed behind the wheel.

Did I give an opinion on the subject? Brownslave asked what a head shop was and I told him.

The owner told me they are allowed to smoke because they sell tobacco.

IMO (I'd say IMHO, but I'm ususally not humble), again, this is MY opinion:

This truck (OK, Package Car) or feeder tractor, belongs to UPS. The building belongs to UPS. The ground it sits on belongs to UPS.

Whatever they say they want or not want to do on THEIR property (as long as it's not a contract violation) is THEIR call. They want me to wear this brown suit, I'll do it. They want my hair a reasonable length that is specified in appearance code standards, I'll do it. They said I can't HOOK up radios to the P/C or tractor electrical systems when there are no such provisions, I'll do it. They want me to start work at X o'clock, I bid that job and it's not a violation, I'll do it. They want me to deliver a package from point A to point B using THIS route and no other, I'll do it. They tell me not to bring porn on my truck, I'll do it. I don't care what form I'm talking about. IT'S THEIR SHOW!

I ain't for or against porn or any other vices for that matter but ain't there enough time away from here for that? Do you HAVE to push the envelope and insist on your rights to do whatever you want on your break time?

OK, commence to flame me on THIS one.

Since I can't think of one person myself who can look at porn daily and not once in a while strudel the noodle I would think it would fall under public indecency. Buuuuuuut I've never been one to follow every law of the land (since some of them are stupid to begin with) and besides, so long as folk are discreet and not getting caught rubbing one out while parked in front of some hot college chicks spot...who cares?

Oddly enough, most of the stoners where I work are the hardest workers. They work hard because they're afraid of suspicion and the piss test. I find it highly amusing myself.

Gah, stay away from OBT!

I hear most of the guys that work here go to the nearby racheals before and after work. One of the dudes say if you pay some of the girls a little extra, well you know..

Many many years ago the PM airport shuttle from my building stopped at Racheal's on the way home. The truck was still there at 2:00 A.M.! The pay for that run was only to a certain time and the driver felt that stopping was ok. He had a MAJOR fight to keep his job!

A person who had been the victim of a sexual assault or molestation might not see see the humor in it.

Leaving aside any personal opinions about porn, the company has every right to protect itself from the potential liability of a worker claiming sexual harassment because of porn in the workplace. If someobody wishes to posess and look at porn on their own time that is their personal business, but it is not appropriate to leave pornographic material lying around in full view in a package car, or on the belt, or in the office or the locker room at work.

OK 1st off BTDT and I still don't have any problem with it. It was not the porn that created the violent act.

2nd - You are right, the company has the right to protect itself and it is against the law to sexually harrass another person in the work place. I would say that there is a gray area when it comes to porn actually causing sexual harrassment but.........................

Should it be in the truck, no. Logic would dictate that it should not be. Are people always logical? No, they are not. Would it be logical for me to file sexual harrassment because someone had porn in their truck and I found it? No. When I was cover driving, I never went through another drivers personal belongings that were left on the truck. Their stuff was NONE OF MY BUSINESS. If someone found a 'stash' then they are just as guilty as the driver stashing.

"Strudel the noodle", ok that's a new one on me.

Since we are on the subject:

There are many variations of the 'nut' one. What other ones are out there?
