I am currently working in Ontario California as a part-supervisor. I want to transfer to phoenix arizona for school purposes and cheaper houses.

How can I get a transfer there? How long will it take?

i have seen a p/t sup. get a transfer once in 14 yrs. i think she also had a "hardship" case going in her favor as well as the fact that she was not going to be missed (after transfer she was n. carolina's problem). take it for what its worth, it can happen. good luck!

I have seen sups gets transfered due to school purposes so they uses "hardship" cases for that and then it would be no problems after that. The sups have to let the HR know the situations and what is required to be done in the process.

Many major metro areas have hubs.

school purposes would be a good reason , cheaper housing would not. Only your hr person can tell you how long it will take.

I just posted in another thread about transfers. Do a search on UPSers for "educational transfer"
