Wah wah my grandfather was a pusillanimous and let the Japanese colonize us. The men in my family fought imperial Japanese, hate their guts, but I never heard them cry about their flag.
My father took my great uncle to one of those hibachi steak houses for his birthday and he got pretty drunk. Started talking about chopsticks right in front of the chef. “This is why we beat these stupid ers, we were done eating early in the morning while they sat around fiddling their sticks.” I don’t even think it was japanese he hated, pretty sure he just didn’t like Asians anymore after losing 3 brothers over there.
