Keys/Strategies to surviving as a PT Sup? (On Topic)

Any advice for "succeeding" as a Pt Sup? Just trying to earn my pay and be respected by as many Employees and Mngmt as possible.

You'd get the most respect by upping and quitting. Just 'sayin.

That might be the dumbest thing I've read on this website. You are saying that a supervisor should not strive to improve the production of the department/group that he is in charge of?
