The customers are most often not the individuals or businesses receiving the packages but the individuals or businesses shipping the packages.

While we all understand that it is generally the shipper who pays the charges for shipping, it is never the shipper who is expected to sign for the packages that show up at the receiver's end. This isn't UPS 101 here, Integrity. Keep in mind we are talking about rural areas and the receivers are not always around--especially in the winter. They also put drop boxes out near major roads because their private drives are not maintained well enough to facilitate my truck, have lots of dangerous blind curves, tree branches etc. I just want to get rid of the package legally so my RECEIVERS are happy, my SHIPPERS don't waste their money, and I get to keep my job rather than losing it because I went the extra mile to make a customer happy.
