I don't know exactly why, but I laughed harder than I should have when I saw your LOL.

It never ceases to amaze me. And I am not being some "internet elitist".... I always put something completely outrageous in the first two sentences to give away my intentions.

here in Redmond Pt Load soups take home 700-900 bux a check every two weeks, so that is not anywhere near 41.000 a year, i wish they paid that to PT's , i'd be all over that. (that is a start pay)

We were pretty much on our own after about 10 o'clock a.m. on fridays. The management team would all disappear. (the work still got done- imagine that):peaceful:

Well I would be willing to bet that they are paid crap. Consider the fact that their pay is such a secret, Im sure if it was something to brag about they would. Second with the health care conrtribution they have and the fact that UPS recentyly changed the rules regarding management saleing their stocks, and then the fact that they have an increasingly hard time getting people to go into management and finally in my experience out of 5 freind that went into management 3 have quit 1 got a transfer to Texas(cheaper cost of living) and the fith is just a unhappy sole. Also 2 of the 3 that quit had actually made it to center manager's, so apperently their pay sucked also.

They must get walked on quite a bit.

This is because a PT sup does exactly half the work of a FT sup

well not exactly

most part time sups are doing the full time sups jobs, so they have to hire more part time sups to actually do what the part time sup actually get paid to do.

and the full time sup? he now gets paid even more, because he is so effecient at his job, he can spend more time brown nosing.

or as brown monster prefers to call it
serve customers and grow the business and promote employee morale.
:wink2:

My god you're more miserable as a full time sup then I ever was. Good thing you never actually took the job.:happy-very:

tieguy Im not miserable just aware of me surroundings. These were all my friends and they were honest with me as well with themselves. With that said I have known managers that are happy but in my experience they are managers that have been around for 15 plus years. From what Ive been told management used to be great but since we went public things have gone south. Maybe Im wrong and maybe Im right but I do know what I see with my own eyes. I admit you would be a better source of the facts regarding management ranks, but in my experience its a tuff sale on employees now a days.

cello99camaro, you are clueless. You have no idea what you are talking about concerning the base salary. I'm sure the part time and and full time supervisors newly promoted wish they made those salary levels you mention.

That wasn't him. That was me. And if you continue to rebuke my post the jackals will destroy your credit (as forewarned).

lively thread that never really answered the original question. Starting pay for friend/t specialists and supervisors depends on the economic zone you operate in. friend/t specialist probably range from 40 to 50 K. friend/t sups from 50 K to possibly as much as 70 K depending on where you're living and workign.

I'll await my visit from the gremlins.:happy-very:

In New York City...

Part-time Supervisors start between 20,000 - 25,000
Full-time Specialists start between 40,000 - 50,000
Full-time Supervisors start between 65,000 - 75,000 + UPS Stock (percentage depends)

There is no set amount because a lot depends on senority. Raises are dependant on one's performance.

Not always true, I was in several meetings when they would talk about who they were going to give more to and who they were going to give less to..... Didn't sound like a performance review..

OK ... in theory it's based on performance and usually is.
The people who perform well are liked better than those don't perform well.
