McLame steps in it in speech about Obama!

Oh my my, another right wing kook wants to talk about Obama's bus! First the C-9's blast away at Obamas bus crying about it being built in Canada (even though its built in the United States) And you comment over and over about it without looking into the facts.

Now, Senator John McLame says the same thing like you all on the senate floor! Theres a big difference though, he was wrong (like the rest of you). Yes, the CHASSIS for the bus was built in Canada by Prevost, but the bus was assembled here in the UNITED STATES by an american company. The CHASSIS, is sold by PREVOST in Canada, and is the only chassis that is big enough to handle all the electronics that need to be on the bus as prescribed by the secret service.

Despite McLames ridiculous claims on the senate floor that the bus was built in Canada, he now knows it was built in the United States. Even further embarrassing for McLame is the fact that both HE AND SARAH PALIN used buses purchased directly from PREVOST (the canadian bus company) during the 2008 campaign.

McCain Blasts Obama for Using a Canadian Bus for American Jobs Tour - ABC News

Why old people say dumb things is still mind numbing! Why McLame keeps being re-elected to office at his age is beyond stupid. This old fart made an ash out of himself on the senate floor with this speech.

Why do right wingers fail to fact check anything before they rant about it?

WAY TO GO MCLAME!

Peace

Oh well, atleast it's not worse then blaming Canada for the terrorists comming from there.
Most Aamericans still believe that myth, too !

And it was quite the opposite ! Canada helped the US big time.
Let all the inbound planes land here - gave all of those passengers room and board for free.
And many of those US citizens returning every year because they made friends with those super friendly Canadian people who took those strangers in as if they were close relatives.

It's a shame the Tea-party and some republicans had to spread those bad lies !
Lies, that some people still believe are the truth, sadly enough.

Just 1 example, but I believe Ann Coulter and Fox news also reported it, and a few other dummies.

December 20, 2005
WASHINGTON - Canadian Ambassador Frank McKenna demanded an apology and retraction from a United States senator who claimed yesterday that the terrorists who struck the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001, entered the country from Canada.
Montana Senator Conrad Burns, a Republican, made the charge during a news conference at which he said the "porous" stretch of border between Montana and Alberta is a prime route for drug runners and criminals travelling south from Calgary.
"We have people who farm both sides of the border. So it's very porous," Mr. Burns said, just days after the U.S. House of Representatives voted to consider building fences along the Canadian border. "We've got to remember that the people who first hit us in 9/11 entered this country through Canada."
The accusation brought a quick retort from officials at the Canadian Embassy, who have repeatedly tried to dispel the inaccurate claim that some of the 19 hijackers on Sept. 11 snuck into the U.S. from Canada. "We are in contact with the senator's office and will be seeking a retraction," said Bernard Etsinger, Mr. McKenna's spokesman.

Its one heck of a stretch to call John MCcain a right wing kook. Most right wing kooks would consider him to be a semi-left wing kook. He is definitely an old fart that should be retired along with about half the senate. i'll agree with you on that.

Why do right wingers fail to fact check anything before they rant about it?

But you don't have to fact check anything you post about people being alcoholics or gay or having extramarital affairs or any number of other things you spout off about?

Seems to me that all come pretty close to the definition of hypocritical.

Of what purpose is it to butcher the Proper Names of people in a derogatory manner to suit your needs?
I include AVATAR names in the classification of Proper Names.

Yesterday, I reported your post which clearly insulted a valued member of BC.
You have overstepped the line in tossing insults and questioning the intelligence of our valued members.

I do not appreciate you making generalizations about everyone that does not agree with you and I am prepared for your attack on me.

It's not a big lie, I knew from the first report on this bus that it was the frame or chassis or whatever that was made in Canada, but it's just easier to type 'bus'.

So, they don't build any chassis in the U.S. ???

Did you miss the part where PREVOST is the only company that makes CHASSIS's big enough to meet the secret service requirements for electronics for the president. NO american company makes a chassis that big.

Pretty easy to understand.

Peace.

Thats not how it was reported by FOXED SPEWS. It was reported as a canadian bus and everyone ran with that story, well almost everyone. The rolling chassis is jus that, some steel framing with wheels and tires and engine on it. Its shipped to the USA and then built from the ground up for the president by an American company with american workers.

Unfortunately, McLame didnt bother to find that out until it was reported to him AFTER he made his ridiculous speech. Then he got the "pssst McLame", "ahh, we bought two buses from Prevost for your campaign in 2008 complete for you and Sarah".

Gotta love old people and politics, they just dont mix!

Peace.

Robert Carlyle Byrd (born Cornelius Calvin Sale, Jr.; November 20, 1917 – June 28, 2010) was a United States Senator from West Virginia.
A member of the Democratic Party, Byrd served as a U.S. Representative from 1953 until 1959 and as a U.S. Senator from 1959 to 2010.
He was the longest-serving senator and the longest-serving member in the history of the United States Congress.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP]
From 1989 to 2010 he served as the President pro tempore of the United States Senate when the Democratic Party had a majority, and as President pro tempore emeritus during periods of Republican majority beginning in 2001.[SUP][6]
[/SUP] As President pro tempore, he was third in the line of presidential succession, behind the Vice President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
He filibustered against the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
He was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s.
Robert Byrd, delivered on the floor of the Senate on July 19, 2007.
Profoundly outraged, the 89-year-old senator rose to the floor to squarely take up the issue of illegal dog fighting rings in the USA. " Two dogs are placed in a pit and turned loose -- turned loose -- against each other. How inhuman, how cannibalistic, how sadistic.
The brutality goes on until one of the poor dogs is seriously injured or killed. So the poor dog died -- died. The dog died."

The only difference between you(TOS) and Chris Mathews, is that you still have that thrill going up your leg. Obama has been stepping on it for years now. Recall during his campaign stop in Oregon, where he said that he'd been in 57 states with one to go? or at the National Day of Prayer breakfast last year where he pronounced the "ps" in Corpsman, while reading the the promoter no less.
Go head and bash Mclame all you want the guy is more of a liberal than a conservative.
