I agree with PAS being put in correctly. When I put PAS in our center IE tried to get me to use Route ID's, but I objected and we have been loading by Bay number since the beginning. No matter what Routes I put on my people(they do change time to time), they will load the same bays daily in their positions like 107,109,111,113. (straight belt) We have some who rarely ever have errors. We also have some who have had problems at times. We use progressive discipline after talks just didn't work. I had one person work their way up to discharge, it went to local level and was agreed to a suspension. It still didn't fix the problem. So again this person progressed up to discharge, but this time we were deadlocked at local. Next move was to State panel. Here is where it gets interesting. The employee suddenly has gone week after week after week with no misloads. So I ask, is this just chance, or did the message finally get through to the employee? My guess is the 2nd. One side note, the "new" employees seem to do better than the employees who were on the old system. The "new" employee learns the correct way from day 1, where the higher seniority employees sometimes have a hard time changing. Some who have preloaded for many years still try to customize the loads for the drivers when they go on PAS, actually costing themselves a lot more mental work than required. And sometimes making more mistakes.
