For the life of me I cannot figure out why we would spend money to find this out!! I could understand if it was money spent for curing some disease, but this stuff is just stupid.

How do you even present something like this for funding and keep a straight face? It should get traced back to the person who proposed it and they should be made to payback the monies involved from their personal bank account.
