R1A once again you write a tome trying to impress with your knowledge those who don't know. Top-out never occurred in 18 months, it was 23. These little slip-ups you do from time to time indicate to me you are a union organizer who has spent alot of time learning about FedEx but doesn' quite have it down. I don't believe for a second you were ever an employee. One thing that bugs me about you is everything is predicated on the notion that it's all about the money. What has kept me going even while knowing I am getting screwed financially is that I enjoy the work while on the road. Not a fan of station life so actively seeking a domiciled location to end my years. But I did enjoy the work itself and took pride in it. It's something you'll never understand. And that's something that 10's of thousands of couriers do understand and have kept them motivated to hang in there. By your estimation topped out employees are being screwed because they aren't being paid UPS wages and benefits. Topped out employees had a good deal right up until the pension was terminated. And while your hindsight is 20/20 no one in 2000 could have predicted to what lengths FedEx would go to hold down wages and screw over mid-range employees. That came into focus in 2007 with the series of 2% raises or no raise one year. And this year they made it clear that while the company was past the international financial crisis they had no intention to return us to the days of 6.5% raises. A fool is one who thinks that he's owed a great living with minimal effort. My beef is working hard but not being rewarded for doing so. And being very open about what I've experienced was my way of showing company monitors the lengths their management team will go to to satisfy Memphis and the pain they inflict on their workforce in doing so. You seem to think it's there for your consumption and allows you to take potshots. You are a pathetic little worm who feeds on the efforts of others. I'm almost glad you didn't get your union in. When I leave FedEx I'll be ok because I've researched every possible avenue for living economically. You on the other hand will keep pursuing the so-called American dream because nothing is more important than proving how brilliant you are to others by showing your achievements with a high priced car and a fancy house. Yeah, that'll show them.
