Some locals might have to cut back on staffing if they did away with the initiation fees. This would leave them with less people to stand up to UPS and enforce the contract. :(

In my local it's 1$ for new part timers but then when u go full time , it's gonna cost you almost 4 grand , so it's best just to stay part time til you can come up with 4 grand cash .

Do they take a credit card? I can pull out of my old 401k. Pimping could be on option too.

Well i tried logging in to see my paycheck yesterday and today but the system is apparently down for maintenance all weekend. I want to say they took out $55 between union dues and initiation fee. I recall being told the total initiation fee was $200-250.
