When I worked in the "cage" for three whole days (international holds) one of the first things that we did when we started our shift was scan each and every package. They would either come up "hold" or "release". We would keep the "holds" and put "release" tape on the ones that were released. There was nothing more that we could do at the local level----it was all up to customs.

Fixed.

I am waiting for a package that is shipped via UPS and it's the first time I have ever used UPS services.

The package was shipped from USA to South Africa and arrival date on the email is 2016/08/15 (today). It is 15:00 in South Africa atm. On the tracking site it says Held in Warehouse but when I phoned them earlier they said its stuck at clearance and diverted me through but clearance said it has been cleared on the 2016/08/11. The tracking website also says the following:
