Not a win for Local 804

It is absolutely a victory. UPS agreed to break contract to the benefit of these drivers.

They contractually "abandoned" their jobs during the walkout, and UPS was willing to let them have their abandoned jobs back

Overall from start to finish this mess wasn't a victory. The ending wasn't as bad as it could have been but if I lost 2 weeks pay because of my BA I'd be pissed and my bank account wouldn't call it a victory.

We just got lucky the ibt stepped in and bailed our union out.

It will show that he lies to his members and thinks we are all idiots and drink his cool aid.

I just you just filled your cup.

The overall outcome of this is a win...
250 of our brothers now don't have to worry about their children and spouses losing their homes.
It's a reminder for all of us: Be 100% loyal to our union leadership, but don't mindlessly go along with a strike you know isn't legit.

If I remember right in 1997 a strike fund was established I remember going to the local to pick up my check Cant we use this money for the suspensions? It was a strike an illegal one but a strike nonetheless
