Jobs and the economy: Obama said in his State of the Union address Wednesday that jobs were his administration's "No. 1 focus in 2010." The president's plan to spur job growth will revolve around tax incentives for small businesses.

Don't forget he said "trust"
Why wern''t jobs important last year?

too busy loading up his pals with stimulus money?

too busy making sure that no lobbyist snuck in on his payroll?

too busy bowing to world leaders?

too busy closing guantanamo..oops thats still open.

too busy stopping the wars..oops still raging.

too busy trying to pass a bloated pig health care plan?

I know no one told him that people were losing their jobs?

Was there anything that you liked in the speech? Just wondering, because from what he was saying, he could very easily have been a Republican up there. That is why I voted for him. I believe that he brings change to Washington and if that speech doesn't prove it, I don't know what will.

And pigs will fall from the sky....! oink oink! This was yet another campaign speech. The talk is beyond OLD. Transparency? The only thing transparent is OBAMA. You can see right through him! LOL! He wants to work with Republicans? How many meetings did he have last year with Republican leaders??? Oh ... that's right, he was too busy sitting in front of the cameras of MSNBC, NBC, ABC and CBS with an occasional nod to CNN. How many times did he say "I" in his speech last night? Oh... but the last year was still Bush's fault - BO started his speech with that. As McCain said "BIOB" (Blame It On Bush).

BO underestimates the American people: their intelligence, their determination, their anger, and most of all, their ability to come together for the good of the Republic. This will be his Achilles heel.

BO makes me want to throw up.

Obama does seem to think the voting public is stupid. right unionman?
At least my intentions are good. Its not a sin to be stupid but I believe lashing out at people constantly makes you a bad person. I'm glad it makes you mad, that means I'm getting through to your arrogant mind.

The thing about BO is this.... He is not a leader. A good leader knows how to bring opposing sides together. Instead, he continues to polarize America. He and his cronies continue to push a leftist agenda when the country is center right.

A new jobs bill.... ?? Why? We still have well over 1/2 TRILLION dollars that has not been spent from the first "stimulus" bill. The first bill was nothing more than pork pork and more pork. Just what we need more pork barrel spending.

Watch what this left wing socialist does not what he says.

opposing ? More like what Obama said, if you lose we win, thats what the Republicans are doing. And they don't care about what happens to the people of this country, as long as they stand up to big bad Liberal Obama. Well thats a crock and he exposed them with his speech because he went way to the middle on tax cuts for small business and an executive order to form a panel on how to lower the debt of this country.

You are making my point about BO not being a leader. Your perspective is that the Republicans want the Democrats to lose so that the Republicans will win! You stated that Obama said that. A good leader would not pit each side against the other. A good leader would not allow closed door negotiations without the other side included. BO, Reid, and Pop-up Pelosi continue to shove their agenda down the Republicans throats. This demonstrates a complete lack of respect for the other side and their position.

Maybe this example will hit home for you....
If management closed the door on the union during negotiations and told them they better get in line ... what would you do? Wouldn't you authorize a strike vote?

BO uses Chicago style politics to send his henchman out with the bats. He talks a good game but does not walk the talk. The Kool-Aid he is pouring is rancid and I won't drink it! LOL!

If I were the president, I would have had many meetings right from the get go with the other side. Being in a position of power, I would have shown the other side that they have a voice and I would not only hear what they say but implement some of what they want. I would make both sides meet and come to agreement as to what they could each agree on and use that as a base to move forward.

This should have been done way back in the first half of last year. The fact that it wasn't done and he has lost 3 key states since then shows America he is an ineffective figure head.
