The limiting of real market competition. Wonder how the AMA, Big Pharma and Insurance lobby plays into this? Hmmmm the poor "persecuted minority" sure seems to do pretty well for itself don't they? Even under the communist, marxist, socialist ObamaCare, them profits and stock prices only continue to rise outpacing the rest of the market. Are those guy smart or are they smart?

[h=3]Government Medical 'Care': Turning Qualified Doctors Into Waiters[/h] Posted by Bill Anderson on March 16, 2012 12:46 PM
This account by a doctor on the CNN website, "Why your waiter has an M.D.," unwittingly makes the case against state-controlled medical care. He tells the story of a surgeon from Eastern Europe who clearly is qualified to do surgery in this country having to support himself as a waiter in a restaurant because of government rules and policies.
On one hand, the government slams down price controls on medical care in the name of making it "affordable" and available. On the other hand, the government artificially reduces the supply of qualified physicians and other medical personnel in the name of "quality." In reality, what the government does is create shortages which effectively denies care to people who need it.

RU serious? Or am I missing sarcasm? Who is the the poor "persecuted minority"? Do you mean actual poor people, or big Pharma?

I would never refer to any corporation in today's American political climate as a "persecuted minority". More like a controlling minority, considering the SCOTUS and all....

Prime directive: Filter facts to fit Fox programming, sift in Weasel Zipper fantasies, stir in a flurry of Townhall Conservative, spew, repeat.
What about the 2 hours I spent watching the movie "Love Happens" and the hour long dvd of Selling L.A and Selling N.Y. ??

You all act like I have only one channel on my TV. I just have basic cable, but it's more channels than I can ever watch.
How many of you are wasting your time watching dribbling??

You totally missed his point. Rather than spend an hour watching what will most likely be a very informative program, you would rather watch a movie that the Charter online program guide describes as "Three nerdy high-school friends have a wild night of comic misadventures" and then rely on Fox, WZ and TH to do your research for you.

To be fair, I am watching dribbling, but only for the commercials. UPS Logistics has produced some very good commercials this year.

To be fair, all I did was check the TV Guide to see what was playing at that time to razz Klein. You however seem to know all about that nerdy movie. Never seen it, never will, Not my type of movie.
We all live in different parts of the country. I suppose you get some seedy Syracuse station and rely on the guy with a huge pompadour to read you the news that he gets off the AP and Reuters.....where the rest of us get the news anyway.

There's only so much happening.......bus crashes, kills 23.

Now, whether FOX tells me that or Katie Couric (can't stand the beeatch) , or Carlos Amezqua , it really doesn't matter..

It was a sarcastic play on the words of Ayn Rand. Corporations are another form of a state privileged class IMO (Corporations are a creature of the state via legal ficiton) and as such are completely contrary to natural law and true free market values. Keep reading, you'll catch up. "Welcome to the Jungle" BTW!
