Hi everybody, just wanted to ask anybody from Southern California about the massive feeder hiring going on in local 63. What is the reason or conspiracy theories? I hear they are training a crap load of people.

They've been under staffed for years.

About time they started training new feeder drivers instead of borrowing from neighboring locals.

Rumor going around they are getting away from rail service. Not completely but enough.

Acquired a ton of work from another local, that never should have been there to begin with. Not to mention, the mass amount of Amazon and distribution warehouses in the region. The mass hiring is reaching its end, though. This started a year and a half ago. The staffing is starting to level off.
