Our postal friends just got a new contract

    They have been working for about 7 months under the old contract.
    Looks like they have a 5 year contract and wage increases of 8.85 percent over five years along with regular cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) and a single lump-sum COLA payment of $686 for the period between July 2006 and May 2007.

    And they are going to do away with some lower paid part timer workers.

    I see alot of letter carriers in my area, off work by 5:30 pm. Gee that would be nice.

    Off by 5:30. Ask them when they start.

    Yea they make nothing, they pay for there benefit's, and there pension is crap. Go ahead sign up!!!!

    Mail carrier on my route is home by 16:00 but starts at 6:00. I would start that early if I could be off by that time. I can do a lot more with family in the evening than in the morning hours.
