package handler- swore at supervisors, will i be terminated?

That’s Craptacular
There's more to the story than what meets the eye. How would you feel if you loaded 1300 peices EVERYDAY while the person across from you who is a Sups "pet" only loads 800 maybe 900 peices on a "heavy day" meanwhile the sup brings you a discipline letter for (1) misload while the "pet" across the belt never has to sign anything? I say he had good reason.
Wah....was everyone who had a misload written up or just you? If it was just you, why didn't you file a harassment grievance instead of whining about it on the internet??

If you would open your mind And eyes to some of the other replies I have posted in this topic, you will then see that I said, I am not referring to myself. Or is the "block" I had on you keeping you from seeing certain post?[emoji4]

I'm surprised they had you escorted out over that. Than again, we're all very hostile at my location. We start off every conversation with "You :censored2:ing -insert derogatory term-"!

It only surprises me.... that the company didn't follow through.

Why is that ?

Lack of education or verbal skills ?

Lack of respect ?

It's funny now days.... how every young person is a "self appointed" gangster.

They have that attitude, until they get fired.

And then, their tail gets stuck between their legs real quick.

They are called community and state colleges. Live at home and work for the full four years and you could graduate with little to no student loan debt.

state colleges have been defunded by government so the student has to make up the difference. its unaffordable in america and its the most expensive place to go to college. it was very affordable after world war 2. but you know, this is the country that doesnt have a right to many things.

Oh you mean it was affordable right before the government started backing and subsidizing student loans?

This exactly. I've never understood the need to curse someone out over this job. You put packages in a package car. Get over yourself and grow up.

good people drink good beer
it was affordable when the government actually paid the costs of college up front
But is it the role of government to provide this service? Grants and loans have artificially increased the expense higher education as it has for medical insurance. I say less government and let market forces drive down college costs.

SCV good to go sir.

I disagree. Financial aid provides more than enough to cover school costs as long as you don't :censored2: around. Living at home while :censored2:ty (and not ideal for one's social life) will make state colleges affordable. The hours, pay, and benefits provided by UPS to the part timers is unheard of anywhere else and definitely makes going to school possible. Even if you run out of FA, by that time you'll accrue enough seniority to be able to pay for school in installments that can be paid off before the semester ends. By no means am I saying it's easy and without sacrifices, but it's possible. This is coming from someone with a BS in Biology from a state school during the years I was accruing enough seniority to drive.

For-profit colleges have (had) little government oversight. That market is dying.

it should be and it would be much cheaper. but i could see how loans could drive up the prices, not sure if this is what happened or not, i have heard that theory in a few places, but i mostly heard how the government defunded colleges. back to the OP: its a wonderful social control having people in debt, especially in the richest nation on earth.

another thing that happened to colleges is corporatization. they are run like businesses now, and there is alot of bureacracy.

regarding the healthcare system: it is the Only lightly regulated privatized healthcare system in the world and 1 of the number 1 reasons it is the most expensive is because of the huge bureacracy in the private system. there is also Alot of fraud on behalf of the corporations.

I can guarantee you 2 things. #1 my life is way better than yours. #2 I'm not filled with anger , your job is to try to fill my life with anger , and you failed. Good day sir.
Not a chance not it isn't. I treat my guys with respect. But you wouldn't know what respect is. Because from the moment you found out I was a sup you just started the disrespect.
And .2 what the hell do you know about loading, as a sup? You load 1300 peices daily while the "pet" gets 800 peices daily. Until you've been there and done it, you won't know what it's like.
LOL okay big guy. I did two years as an hourly. A year on local sort and a year on preload. I didn't want to be one of those sups who took the job and didn't have the ability to teach someone something because I had never done it. I've done the 800 piece days and I've done the 1200 piece days. I kept my mouth shut and just did it because that was my job. If I needed help I asked for it. You're still new to the UPS world. You earn the 800 piece trucks with time.
Why is that ?

Pretty much.

You control what goes in and out of the vehicles. You control no part of my day.

oh u were driving while at school. well yes if u earn $30/hr its affordable, but still most expensive in the developed world

No, I was working in the hub while I was in school. I alluded to that in my initial post, "...The hours, pay, and benefits provided by UPS to the part timers is unheard of anywhere else and definitely makes going to school possible..." And I directly stated it at the end of my post, "...This is coming from someone with a BS in Biology from a state school during the years I was accruing enough seniority to drive." My argument was never that the US wasn't the most expensive in the developed world. My argument was that a part timer at UPS can afford a higher education from a state school if he/she is willing to make the sacrifices.

The fact that a top rate driver could afford a higher education is axiomatic. What would be far more interesting to hear from you is how he/she would solve the time conflicts of going to school during normal business hours, while working full time.
