Partime employee pension question

    Do you have to be in a union to collect pension? I allways thought no. I am part time of almost 10 years now.

    What about if you are FT..

    I had to get out of the union because my shop stuard pushed me and wanted to fight.

    Yeah. I cant count on that person to have my best intrest in mind.

    The steward is simply your local representitive. He is not the union. I've been in the union 21 years and don't recall needing a steward more than a couple of times. Something important I go straight to the local.
