I find it hilarious that Tim Pawlenty is the first of many to toss in the white towel! Newts people quit his campaign to go work on Pawlentys campaign and TIM is the first one out and NEWT is still in??

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This goes to show the right wing thinkers dont have the first clue on who to support.

Michele Bachman wins the straw poll..... YEEEEEHHAAAAAW!

YOU GO MICHELE! Take out Romney and Perry! Keep up the good work!

Tim Pawlenty was as weak as a used Tea Bag and he spent a ton of money.

Peace.

The elimination of candidates is the normal process in a nomination process ...

but on the other side the Democrats are stuck with supporting one of the most clueless losers of all time.

We'll see how the process works out in 15 months.

Obama is not really a "liberal" so I don't understand what that has to do with "liberal things".

Also what does Obama have to do with that schmuck Pawlenty? Classic Republican diversion from their weak :censored2: candidates.

" Obama is not really a "liberal" " , is what makes this so laughable. The liberals are stuck with 0 , a LINO. Now that is hilarious, you guys sure know how to pick 'em. At least the republicans have a choice regardless of how the dems feel about the choices. :)

Why are you making this personal? I have no interest in the Democrat or Republican parties in the U.S. and definitely would never and did not vote for anyone like Obama. However: Obama is NOT left, not a socialist, not a Liberal aside socially where he's at best a chameleon centrist.. If you cannot see this then you may have some extremely corporate minded, economically conservative biased views, but that's on you.

How did I make it personal? If you aren't a liberal, democrat or leftist, then the " you guys" wasn't directed to you. While it is true that 0 isn't a true died in the wool, traditional democrat, he wants to be. It is a fact that many of his policies are indeed socialist in nature. If you can't see that, you aren't paying attention. 0 has necessarily morphed from what he represented to the people that elected him. He is doing his best imitation of a chameleon, that is for sure.

Having the US Government own any part of a company (GM) is a step towards Socialism.
Having the US Government dictate and direct a Nationalized Health insurance program is a step towards Socialism.

While I agree with your assertion if one sticks to Socialism as strictly defined form of government, if you read the Oxford definition of Socialism, one can easily deduce that Obama leans heavily towards a form of a Socialist democracy. I agree that he is more of a Marxist than he is a pure Socialist.

Oxford Dictionary definition:a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

  • policy or practice based on the political and economic theory of socialism.
  • (in Marxist theory) a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of Communism.

The term ‘socialism’ has been used to describe positions as far apart as anarchism, Soviet state Communism, and social democracy; however , it necessarily implies an opposition to the untrammelled workings of the economic market. The socialist parties that have arisen in most European countries from the late 19th century have generally tended towards social democracy

If you do not think that Obama is Socialist or that he wants to set up a European style Socialist Democracy, then there are no forms of Socialism governments on the Earth now.

To most people who are not Professors in History, Civics or Government, Obama is a socialist as most people think of what Socialism means. Even if they are not technically correct, they are correct that he is Anti-Capitalism.

Since GM has paid back a major portion of the loan that the goverment loaned them, does that mean that its a step back from socialism? When its paid back in full, its that a retreat from socialism?

When its paid back, isnt it just a loan?

Peace.

I this is a joke, not one person to stand up and grab the bull by the horns. They should stand in what they believe in and stop watching the polls.

Ruh Roh, Obama's approval rating has dropped below 40% (Link) and Matt Damon is rumored to be considering a primary challenge(Link)? Looks like an empty beer can could run for President and beat Obama at this point. I am really looking forward to next November!

The feelings are obviously mutual, Obama’s been seen with Zakaria’s book, “The Post-American World.”

It's just a political exercise........much like an acting exercise is not the movie, the Iowa straw poll is not the election.
