Speaking of beer, I started another batch of Oktoberfest Sunday. The moment when the magic begins, this is called "pitching the yeast".

How many buildings are already starting to fail, missing packages and such. We already have drivers over 12 and we are not even that busy yet.
Have heard Hubs are not moving all work.
How can this be? Doesn't UPS plan for Christmas or did they just give up and hope for the best?

We've shut down our building every night this week, loaded up all remaining work on trailers (including hundreds of Next Day packages that are local to my region which get serviced alongside the normal ground. Dealing with it the following shift. It sucks. But its $$$.

The first 3 days of peak thus far have been an absolute disaster, the first rental/PC pulled in tonight at ~8:30. My small center alone is probably accounting for a pretty damn big chunk of change of late next days because we couldn't finish work in time.

Agree mostly but ...recommend some IPA's those of us who aren't driving can afford to get lit on! IPA's come in some nice 10+% but you pay $12 for a 6 pack.

I know , im trying. I see you did pick Celebration, went thru three twelves of that this season.

Out of Diad's, out of Drivers, out of Helpers( they are quitting at 15 a day), and out of rentals.

So far, so good.

It's simply a matter of you have good buildings and bad buildings. Veteran managers are prepared, new ones aren't.
It's pretty much that simple. You're always going to have 1 or 2 really bad days during peak no matter how prepared
you are.
