If this contract passes do you think that people will retire in record numbers after January since the pension is going to increase?

Pretty sure the increase starts January 1, 2014, and doesn't apply for the previous years worked.

The "service pensions" 30/35 years are going up Jan 1. Other rates are future accruals which applies as you stated.
I believe retirements will increase as many have been waiting or in some cases, recovering.

If a couple hundred bucks a month is a deal breaker between retiring now and 2 years from now, I'd say they probably need to stay regardless of increases.
