Budget? We don't need no stinkin' budget!
Without a budget, all those federal agencies will stop working.
And all those federal employees would be added to the unemployment numbers.
And barry could not blame Bush for this MAJOR SCREW-UP.

When was that?

I'm hoping and shocked you just forgot this " :happy-very: " in your post above!

If my shock is justified, then you can read about Colbert here.

IMO, the only 2 so-called Celebs to testify before Congress and do a good.....no, do a DAMN good job of it were Dee Snyder and Frank Zappa in the year 1985' concerning censorship of music lyric content.

Face it. What congress does is a joke. No reason Colbert shouldn't be there to tell them they are a joke. They're probably the only ones who don't get it.

Absolutely Agree!

If I may quote from H. L. Mencken

Every election is a sort of advance auction sale of stolen goods.

Democracy is also a form of worship. It is the worship of Jackals by Jackasses.

Democracy is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey cage.

I believe that all government is evil, and that trying to improve it is largely a waste of time.

Stephen Colbert testifying before Congress was a national disgrace.

And Congress is such a stellar sacred entity? .....:wink2:
Like Colbert, many of our elected officials try to make a name for themselves as well. Either to get re-elected, or have their palms greased by lobbiest, all before tee time at the local Country Club....
Keep in mind, Colbert is still a citizen using his celebrity to draw attention to migrant workers conditions, and Congress still works for the citizens who pay their salaries.
And the behavior of our elected Congressional body in modern times is a Natl disgrace, especially IMO, GOP obstructionism and their attempts to shut down Gov't and stall legislation untill their desperate pipe dreams of regaining Majority control occurs.....I remember hearing of the Senators asking Colbert to remove himself from the hearing because of who he is. The audacity of any elected official (D) or (R) with the same view, are the ones indeed who need to remove themselves from office.....Remember blue pill people, the Gov't works for us, not the other way around....

Hey Republicans, pledge this..... You can't get the job done....

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/09/reagan-adviser-republicans-you-job-done/

Poor wittle conservatives ! A person that worked for your hero, the Great Ronald Reagan disagrees with the current logic of the GOP and you guys are still trying to sell voodo economics.

Interesting you linked a piece about David Stockman as about a week ago at the LRC Blog he reported that he is about to publish a book about the evils of crony capitalism. Not only does Stockman understand this and has spoken out against but so has Paul Craig Roberts who as Assist. Sec. of the Treasury under Reagan is so respected that he as often published by such diverse websites as the libertarian LRC, Antiwar.com, the Paleo-con website, The American Conservative or the progressive Counterpunch and Huffington Post.

As the power elite and their minions in Washington with their carpetbaggers outside amongst the great unwashed fight tooth and nail to keep the 2 party construct alive, more and more are waking up and starting to tear it down with sledge hammers!

Thanks for linking the story above D.
