I recognize that other people don't feel the same way and I'm certainly willing to acknowledge any valid points they make. I don't see any point in responding to nonsensical suggestions that my position amounts to "sending my family to Afghanistan to be slaughtered". Talk about smugness . Geez. I learned that torturing prisoners was wrong years ago in mandatory Law of War classes, and the principles I learned didn't change just because of a terrorist attack. I had close friends working in the Pentagon when the plane hit, and immediate family members who were working close by. If you've been reading this thread, you might have noticed that while AV8 doesn't think waterboarding constitutes to torture, he says he wouldn't have approved it's use because it's beneath our standards as a nation, and I agree with him on that. Your belief that everyone would act like you if only they were as scared you are demonstrates how little you know or understand about your fellow Americans. Quite frankly, if I was unsure about the issue of torture and if it's use was justified I would probably listen to a couple Marine Corps Generals over a guy who manages feeders for UPS.
