I have a basic knowledge of driving a manual transmission and I have been going to my center Sat Am's to practice driving but they always tell me its too busy. I was wondering the best place to go rent a MT vehicle for a day so I can get some practice in before my road test. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

borrow a friends car or go to a local dealership and take a stick shift for a test drive.

Search the parking lot for a manual. Wait by car. Ask owner.

This is probably area specific. At my center i would gladly teach anyone. There are centers in my local where parking lot theft is a major problem. There I wouldn't use this approach.

I realize not a lot of people have manuals but a friend of the family or the friend of a friend has one.
