30d sounds like a manager job. Management jobs have pay bands associated with them. Specialists are band 10, supervisors are 20, mid managers are 30, etc. Within the band, jobs are ranked from a to g as some jobs are more complex than others. (A billing sup has a different job than an on road sup, for example) So a 30d would be a mid manager with a moderately complex job.
