The center manager in my center has control over the entire operation, except for feeders.

Each center in our building has a center manager, Preload has a center manager, night shift has a center manager, and the twilight sort has a center manager. Feeders has a center manager.

Match exactly, box for box, what others are doing. If mgmt whines about it, just say these magic words.... "im doing the best i can".

You must be in a really tiny center if 10 trailers is daunting to unload. That would be about 30 minutes work in my building. They run 12 doors at a time 1-2 people per trailer and turn a 53 footer in about 20-30 minutes

Haha 4 or 5 trailers is a heavy normal day here, 8 was our heaviest peak day last year.

If we have 8 doors left it means unloaders and sort aisle guys are about to start going home and the operation is winding up for the night.

50 years ago I'd say you were right. But today where we have ethics policies and anti harassment laws, the way management treats staff is unacceptable.
