President Obama!

susan was an absolute wack job that did more then just exchange free thoughts. She stalked several members of this board in an effort to try to intimidate them into shutting up. Her efforts to stifle free speech resulted in her banishment.

So now the question that would naturally come up is what do you know about susan. Are you susan?

You have to admit, he does inspire our best.

We should all hope that America has truly been blessed in this time of need in our country.
No he does not inspire the best, he did not inspire me.
He inspires those of you who can easily be baffled. Not Me.

AND I DO NOT BELIEVE HIM TO BE AN HONORABLE MAN. And the dress his wife wore on stage. How very hooker-esque. No taste whatsoever.

One can be banned for 'free exchange of thoughts' here.

Simple fact.

Ask Susan

Passerby, the "simple fact" is you are wrong. Soberups will not be banned for his post, there was nothing wrong with it.

Susie was banned because in her last days she really went off the deep end. Do you remember her posting members names? How about pictures of members homes? She even posted a picture of a members sister. There was no choice but to ban her.

I really don't understand all the references to banning. To suggest we ban people for their "free exchange of thought" is just arrogant. Do you even know how many people have been banned? No, you don't. Other than spammers, you could probably count them on one hand. And like Susie, the reason they get banned is because they go off the deep end, and start spewing swears and just plain filth.

I dont agree with a number of Obama's policies.

That being said, I believe him to be a sincere and honorable man.

What I do know is that our country simply cannot survive 4 more years of a Republican administration. I also know that, statistically speaking, it would be a coin flip as to whether or not a 72-yr old Mccain would even live through his first term...leaving the presidency to a religious extremist nut job with no foreign policy experience other than having seen the coastline of Russia across the Bering Strait.
I can say the same about McCain's policies and sincerity and honor. Unfortunately I can't about Obama's. I can't wait to hear O's excuses why he can't do all the give aways he promised, of course it will all be the republicans fault. Not that I even want all his promises to come true. THAT is something we truly can't afford.
Many people have lost focus on any other aspect of living in the USofA outside of the economy and there are many many other things to consider. Things that the Demos kept telling us were un-important. I guess we will see. Enjoy your day in the sun. Congratulations to Team Obama.

Who said "landslide"?

Am I wrong? I thought Obama got 52% of the vote. That means out of every 10 people you see today, 5 didn't want him to be President.

Far from a landslide.

You have never spoken words so true.
This country is going to hell and Obama and his Liberal buddies are now the handbasket by which it will travel.
Don't you really mean his socialist buddies?
TOS before you start with the "sour grapes" comments, I thought O to be a socialist before yesterday, his winning the election does not change that belief. Maybe you will believe me when Bill Ayers is named the Secretary of Education. nahhhh...never mind.

Electorally it was a landslide, popular vote...no landslide.
IMO, the Electoral College has outlived it's purpose, but this aint nuttin new. I've thought that for many years.

I know this is going to sound racist on my part, but it is more of a statement of racism. Let me qualify that I am not bothered one little bit by the fact that Obama is a black man (technically half black-half white), I was not bothered by the fact that Jackie Robinson was black or Clarence Thomas, or Colin Powell. However I do believe that one important aspect of Obama's win goes to the fact at many more black people voted this election than ever before in history because they were voting for a black man to become President. I hold that as deplorable as the people that would not vote for Obama for the same reason. However the largest % of the white people that did that were more than likely to vote Repub anyway.
Racism is still alive and still as sick today as it was the day Abe Lincoln was murdered. And it goes both ways.

My only plan for 4 yrs. of Hussein is to immediately cut my personal indiscriminate spending. Need to have plenty of bucks to pay higher taxes to support those lazy asses who don't have jobs and won't get off the couch.

I'm holding my breath for 4 years !! God help America!!:dissapointed:

Actually he has two years before the next election, congressional . So he better do wonders in that time frame because he could have a Republican Congress his last two years in office.

More,

Calm down, have another sip of Starbuck's and relax. There is good news across America this morning that may not be getting broad coverage for the moment. Here's just one small example:

November 04, 2008

All tax increases voted down

Posted by Ryan W. McMaken at November 4, 2008 11:34 PM
Note to Dems:
The state constitution mandates that all tax increases must be voted on by the electorate in Colorado. There were 4 tax increases on the statewide ballot this year.
Democrats dominated the state in the elections, yet all 4 tax increases were voted down.
Just because people rightly repudiated Bush/McCain does not mean they have embraced big government.

I know it may be hard for you to accept but the last sentence in the above is a very key point to remember!

Besides, Obama wants what ever other President elect wants and that is a 2nd term. And the democrats want to maintain what they have in Congress and they see 2010' stareing them down even on this victorious morning. They ain't stupid!

I also just read this from a piece at Yahoo News:

Exit polls showed that voters were deeply anxious about the economy and dissatisfied with President Bush. They haven't been thrilled by Democrats in Congress, either, largely because the new majority could not agree on how to end the Iraq war as promised.
Exit polling showed that the war remains unpopular, and distaste for the conflict helped Obama. Nearly two-thirds disapprove of the conflict, and that group overwhelmingly backed the Democrat.
But that issue faded this year. Politically, the economy was the number one issue with voters and nothing else came close, exit polls showed. That hurt McCain and trickled down-ballot, hurting some Republican candidates.
The bold/underlined part IMO is very important to remember because those swing/independent voters who handed the keys to the democrats are expecting something and I don't think Bill Ayers/Rev. Wright in cabinet positions and overt socialism is what they have in mind. Pelosi might be that stupid but I don't think Obama is and if they (democrats) don't deliver, those independent/swing voters could go the other way in 2010' and especially 2012' and these guys know it. I know this might seem crazy but I can see where Obama and Pelosi might clash from time to time and that in itself might be worth the price of admission. :happy-very:

BTW: I did see McCain's concession speech and although I didn't support him, what a class act that was. Big tip of the hat to him and I'll bet Obama uses McCain as a resource of knowledge going forward.

Palin? Hard to say going forward but she did capture the imagination. At the least, she get better speaking fees in the future!
:happy-very:

And my farewell salute to Gov. Palin? I found this cartoon the other day and although I admired her for what she did, this cartoon just killed me.

(deleted cartoon of Bullwinkle the Moose using profanity because Palin shot his cousin. Funny, but you know better.)

Sorry but I just found that absolutely hilarious.

The real loser? Bill Clinton. He's been replaced as the iconic party leader and now joins Jimmy Carter to the back bench. If I was Harry Reid, I'd watch my back in Hillary Clinton. She did help Obama in the end IMO and Obama I do think will remember that when it comes to picking superstars to advance his policies.

Still in the garbage can with your right wing slash and burn facts eh, get over it. As you saw, the country R E J E C T E D the "slash and burn" ie: bill ayers, muslim, terrorists, born in kenya, associates with terrorists, rev wright, and all the other garbage that was thrown out there.

This kind of politics only demonstrated how to lose an election and how to cry about one.

While this election was not as big a blowout as when Bob Dole got handed his rear end, it still is considered a blowout as you factor in two things.

First, all the states that went red in 2000 and 2004 went blue, second, an african american defeated the typical white haired white man who normally wins the presidency and beat him by a large margin.

The race was over in 1 1/2 hours after the polls were closed, this my friend is a blowout.

"Slash and Burn" & Sarah Palin, two ingredients that didnt mix like oil and water.

President Obama had what it took, he ran a great campaign, he surrounded himself with great people and he "led" americans to a resounding victory.

He inspires millions of americans, he inspires hope and change for all class levels of americans.

These are the features of good character and leadership.

Move on America, the only place to go is up!

Moreluck, congrats on making more than 250K a year! Your moving back into the REAGAN tax bracket that he imposed during his term in office.

I am sure a dedicated republican like yourself doesnt mind supporting the very tax bracket imposed by the very ICON mentioned at every palin rally?

If your over 250K you will pay a higher share of taxes and give back some of the extraneous gains you have recieved in the last years.

But, somehow I doubt you make 250K and doubt you understand the process at hand with respect to taxation.

:surprised: What if Susan has pocessed my dog!

Let's see, what was that website......Art Bell . something or another!
