[QUOTE="newfie, post: 1839755, member: 58700"] Its interesting that you mention party politics but yet employ them as an aspect of your reponses here. so a 7 years later and no recovery economy is really what you think is a good job. Now I realize that you can point to a 5.1 employment rate and claim that Obama has done a good job. but will it stand the test of time. the labor participation rate is at an all time low. Obama has basically stopped counting the unemployed to be able to report a number that low. Even a Bernie Saunders has said the real number is closer to 10 percent. Do you guys ever really look at the numbers and not what the administration reports when digesting unemployment results. With labor participation numbers comparable to what Obama inherited the real unemployment number would be much higher. Just in case you don't know the country generally goes through a recession every 7 to 8 years. When that happens the fed lowers interest rates to stimulate the economy into coming out of a recession. what happens if we go into another recession as history says we will with interest rates still at zero. the fed will have no options available to stimulate the economy. What was probably a 15 percent unemployment rate counting everyone at the worst part of the last recession will therefore realistically be a 20 percent unemployment rate So whatever schmuck is president then having no interest rate stimulus to rely on will then do what they do well print more money and create more stimulus packages and go much further in debt. its a deadly cycle and partisan politics as you have displayed it will not help.
