You are dead on with that observation IMO. Whether you think it's correct or if it's smoke and mirrors, one of Obama's keystones that he pushed was that the middle class would get a tax cut and this would mean 95% of American's get a tax cut. Or in other words, elect me for a tax cut! Also a lot of talk from the democrats about fiscal responsibility as well. Now I'll agree some of this talk leaves one scratching one's head when you turn around and hear his Joe Plumber conversation but the fact is, the public deep inside wants smaller gov't and less expensive gov't. Now the contest begins as to how all of this washes out. Just as a side note, looking at who Obama is picking for his team, I'm not getting much warm and fuzzy that many draconian Bush policies you dems railed against (and rightly so in many cases) will see the end of their days. Will Bush's legacy become Obama's floor? So much for change! But then again, I'm pissed because he didn't announce the first day that Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright would hold key positions in his cabinet. I mean after all the time and energy spent wailing and gnashing teeth about these 2 men and Obama has insulted many by denying them the opportunity of being able to say, "I told you so!" I was just looking forward to the threads here had such a thing occured. Man would that have been fun. :happy-very: What a party pooper he is! :wink2:
