For your information. . . . . . .

Interesting facts about this company..............
I know everyone has seen and laughed at this commercial, to steal a line from Paul Harvey, "Now for the rest of the story!" Read below.

Important FYI -
PROGRESSIVE AUTO INSURANCE

This is a heads up regarding Progressive Auto Insurance. You know who they are. They're the

ones with the clever television ads featuring the perky brunette actress all dressed in white.

What you might not know is that the
Chairman of Progressive isPeter Lewis, one of the major

funders of leftist causes in America .

Between 2001 and 2003, Lewis funneled $15 million to the ACLU, the group mostresponsible for destroying what's left of America's Judeo-Christian heritage.

Lewis also gave $12.5 million to MoveOn.org and America Coming Together, two key

propaganda arms of the socialist left.

His funding for these groups was conditional on matching contributions from George Soros,

the America-hating socialist and chief financier of the Obama political machine.

Lewis made a fortune as a result of capitalism, but now finances a progressive movement that

threatens to destroy the American free enterprise system that is targeting television shows on

Fox News.

Peter Lewis is making a fortune off of conservative Americans so that he can help dismantle

the very system that made him wealthy. He's banking on no one finding out who he is.

Please boycott Progressive Insurance. (I've wondered about them for quite sometime)!! Let's get the word out!

She has to be one of the highest paid "non-famous person" actors around though. She gets paid everytime a commercial is aired. A friend of mine was in an Old Milwaukee commercial 20 years ago and he ended up making over $45,000 just for pretending to catch a fish and saying "It don't get any better than this". That commercial was on for only about 6 months and didn't run anywhere near as often as Flo's crap.

More,
I did not know about the ownership of this Insurance company but I have heard about several horror claims regarding their coverage.
It sounds fine to "pick the coverage" you want only to discover you are not covered for what you need when you are involved in an accident.:wink2:

But isn't that how all the insurance companies opperate? They sell you a policy that is suppose to cover everything- that is until you have a claim and then there is always that one hidden paragraph that says you don't get chit. I hate insurance companys----- but they are necessary evil.

I noticed that many of those worried about preserving our so called "judeo-christian" heritage would be very much inclined to get rid of the judeo part completely, if they could.

Just another reason not to use them. I've been with Allstate since I got my first car, and nobody has been able to come close to beating the rates I get with them.

The only place they lack good coverage is Sportbike insurance. The next bike I want to get comes with a $4k/yr. policy if I stick with allstate. Luckily state farm has quoted me a tenth of that for the same coverage.

:wink2:It is amazing when you have the time to really shop around and compare.
For too many years we had "bundled" all of our insurance with Liberty Mutual including house ,cars, boat and umbrella. We were told because we were UPSers we were recieving a super deal and discount.
When I retired and had the time --I called Liberty to re-look at my policies and also called Allstate and State Farm to give me their quotes. I made sure we compared apples to apples (The same policies, coverage and deductibles)
State farm was best --Allstate a very close second --and my Liberty agent who took us out to lunch every year made us believe we were valued customers was screwing us for thousands of dollars every year.
Again it does pay to shop around.

My Dad changed insurance co. about every year. He said he always got the best rates when he had 2 or 3 of them competing against each other.
