Nearly anything shipped to a resi can probably wait a couple days really. Try explaining that to the consumer.

I don't think that anything you order from Amazon is a 911 package! It can wait till Monday. Besides if we worked Saturday It would put me in a higher ta bracket!! How come HD doesn't work on Mondays?

our mondays off are our "sundays"

around here fellow UPSers also have a Tuesday-Saturday work week to compete w/ HD and USPS on those Saturday ground deliveries... granted they (USPS & UPS) both get done sooner than HD because of their tighter service areas

for Memorial Day monday, we are also off on Tuesday <shrugs>

UPS has no Saturday Ground delivery around anywhere.... only around Xmas

ah so they're just delivering saturday specials? no wonder that they are off the roads by 1300-1500 in my local area...
